The corresponding technical standard for production and testing is EN 1492-2 (using round slings) and EN 1492-1 (using eye eye slings). They are made by combination of textile slings and steel components of grade 8 or 10. Safety factor is 4:1. Their advantage is their low weight in comparison to lifting capacity. They are suitable for manipulation with fragile burdens because of higher sensitivity to surface of the load. Combined slings could be compiled of one, two , three or four legs with various lengths and end fittings. |
